Strawberries are the best fruit
Emma ate a blueberry. She loved
blueberries. Then she ate a blackberry. She loved blackberries, too.
Then Emma ate a strawberry. She really loved strawberries.
But Emma was confused. A blueberry is blue, so we call it a blueberry.
A blackberry is black, so we call it a blackberry.
A strawberry is red. So, why don't we call it a redberry?
Emma asked her mum if redberries exist.
Her mum said, ‘Yes, there are redberries, but we don’t eat them very
often. Strawberries are much nicer.’
‘Yes, strawberries are lovely’, said Emma. ‘Especially with ice cream!’
‘That’s true’, said Emma’s mum. But you can’t have ice cream before
lunch!’
