iPhone dropped while river rafting washes up eight months later

A teenager who lost his iPhone while white-water rafting was reunited with the device when it washed up on an island eight months later.

A young girl said she often walks along the beach in front of her house and one morning she found a Frisbee, a $20 bill and an iPhone in a watertight case.

She opened the case, charged the phone and her husband correctly guessed the passcode: 1-2-3-4-5-6.

The young girl found a contact for "Mum" and texted the number. She discovered the phone belonged to the woman's son, a 16-year-old boy.
