Sam
Sam was walking in the park. It was
a beautiful sunny day in May.
Suddenly, he looked down and saw a big, black beetle.
It was as big as golf ball and very shiny.
Sam found a glass bottle in the rubbish bin. He put the bottle on the
ground and the beetle walked into it.
Sam was happy. He had his first pet. He wanted a dog or a cat, but his
dad said he couldn’t have one. Now his has a beetle.
He decided to give his new pet a name. He called it George.
Sam continued walking and looking on the ground. He wanted to find
another pet.
After a few minutes he saw another beetle. It was smaller than George,
but he put it in his bottle anyway and called it John.
It took him a long time to find Paul. Paul was near the tennis court.
It was late and Sam had to go home for dinner. As he was leaving the
park, he saw a spider. He quickly put Ringo in the bottle with the other
three beetles and walked home with a big smile on his face.
