Dog mistaken for a lion

Police were understandably concerned when they received a number of calls reporting a lion had been spotted roaming freely in the nearby area.

Officers from the Spanish town of Molina de Segura were sent to track down the big cat after several panicked reports from locals - only to later discover it was in fact a very, very big dog.

Officers were eventually able to reunite the lion-looking pet with its owner.
