Steven

The last time I saw Steven was back in 2016. He seemed to be doing very well. He’d just bought a new house in the South of France and he was thinking of selling up everything in the UK and running his business from there.
Well, he had 2 houses in Surrey and a flat in London. He used to get the train to the office once a week and he spent the rest of the week playing golf and driving sports cars.
I don’t think he’s really happy, though. He seemed a bit fed up last time I saw him. He was complaining about his wife and his oldest boy who’s unemployed and sits on the sofa playing video games all day.
It just goes to show that money doesn’t buy you happiness. We were all happier years ago when we had nothing and we wanted nothing.
