Village Pays £200,000 Instead of Accepting Refugees

A village in Switzerland has decided to pay a huge fine instead of taking
in 50,000 asylum seekers.
The village is one of the wealthiest in Europe and they have voted ‘no’ in
a referendum over whether to accept the Syrian refugees.
Residents say that the refugees need to be helped but they didn’t think
they would fit into their community.
