A Simple Pleasure
One of the simple pleasures of life during
the Spanish summer is enjoying a cold drink with
friends outside a bar.
It’s often too hot during the day, unless you’re lucky enough to find a
shady terrace with a
refreshing breeze.
As far as I’m concerned, night-time is the right time to kick back and
chill with a couple of
light tapas and a beer or two.
Valencia is the idea place for this, and the financial crisis has driven
down bar prices, so it’s
not too expensive to eat and drink outside until the early hours of the
morning.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned to appreciate since I’ve been living
in Spain, it’s quality of
life. The Spanish really know how to get the most out of life’s small
pleasures and that, in
my opinion, is what it’s all about!
