Don't Call the Emergency Services If You Run Out of Toilet Paper

Along with the obvious items, such as hand sanitizer and other disinfectants, the rolls of toilet paper have been increasingly hard to find at local supermarkets during the coronavirus pandemic.

But please don't panic if you run out. And don't call the police just because you’ve run out of toilet paper.

This has been happening across the US and police have suggested using old magazines, rope, sponges and dried corn cobs as alternatives.

Consumers have been asked to use their imagination and not call the police.

"This too shall pass," they said. "Just don't call 9-1-1. We cannot bring you toilet paper."
