1. Pepito’s a good guy to go out and have a few
drinks with, although he gets a bit aggressive when he’s had too
much to drink.
2. We didn’t go to the London Eye, despite staying in a hotel
that was only a short walk from it.
3. My sister’s gone walking in the north of Spain, in spite of
the forecast of heavy rain this weekend.
4. I didn’t think that much of Maria when we had our first video chat
online. However, the first time we met in person I totally fell
for her.
5. My wife and I would love to go to Sweden for a couple of weeks. On
the other hand, it’s so expensive at the moment that I think we’ll
go to Benidorm instead.
